PETZL ASTRO® HARNESS

The PETZL ASTRO® Rope Access Harness is engineered specifically for rope access technicians performing vertical work in industries such as construction, maintenance, utilities, and rescue operations. The harness is designed to optimize efficiency during rope ascent and progression while ensuring long-term comfort during suspension.

Its ergonomic structure features a semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops with 3D foam padding, which distributes load evenly and improves comfort during extended work sessions. The shoulder straps are widely spaced to reduce neck friction and allow greater freedom of movement while climbing or working on ropes.

The harness includes a gated ventral attachment point, allowing efficient integration of equipment such as descenders, progression lanyards, rope clamps, or work seats. Many versions of the ASTRO harness integrate a CROLL L ventral rope clamp, improving efficiency for rope ascent in rope access systems.

The waistbelt is equipped with foldable metal side attachment points, equipment loops, and slots for tool holders, enabling technicians to organize tools and accessories efficiently during operations at height. The harness also incorporates FAST buckles and DOUBLEBACK adjustment buckles for quick donning and secure fitting even when wearing gloves.
